What is Red?

Colors show diversity and sometimes express feelings without words. Warm colors such as orange or yellow may represent happiness or a positive feeling. Cooler colors, such as blue or purple, may evoke a feeling of sadness or a sense of dread.

I wanted to explore what the color represents in society, culture, film, and overall visually.

The real reason why I chose red is that it is my favorite color, but the other reason is because of its mixed symbolism. Mixed with negative connotations and positive views from different parts of the world. Some view it as a warning, and some view it as a color that represents love and romance.

Red is one of the three primary colors, but I want to showcase why it stands out from the other two through it's symbolisim.
